Guide Dog vs Mahl Stick for Trompe L’oeil Moldings

What do you think is the easiest to handle with the best, crispest results? Do you sell striping brushes?

Which is better to use the Mahl stick or the “Guide Dog.”?  I’m doing faux molding on furniture and it was hard enough for me to do the line drawing for the Molding (measuring is not my forte), so I need to make sure I get the line straight for the molding paint lines and the fading for dimension. Advice for Sealing & Staining Real Brick

Michael,

Your work is awesome.  I hope you can help with my dilema.

I would like to stain the bricks on the front entry  of my house.  The rest of the house is finished with  shake.

Can you recommend a product to me?  I just want to tone down the orangey color of the brick.  I was  considering trying a spray  system (Set to a spatter)in order to achieve a grainy appearance, and possible stipple over it.  I had a faux painting business for 12 years staining brick is new to my experience.
